For far too long, runways, red carpets, and magazine covers have favored European labels—and, in turn, forgotten about designers from marginalized subgroups. While 2020’s racial reckoning spurred a renewed focus on Black and AAPI creatives, Indigenous designers continue to be omitted from the mainstream fashion conversation.
